What Is a Dental Crown?

The Crown Procedure
A crown usually takes two visits. At the first, we numb the area, remove a thin layer of the tooth to make room for the crown, take an impression for the dental lab and place a temporary crown.
At the second, we remove the temporary, check the color, shape, fit and bite of your permanent crown, make any adjustments and cement it in place.
