Preparing the Tooth
At the first appointment, we remove any decay and shape the tooth to fit the crown, under local anesthesia so you stay comfortable.
Impressions and a Temporary
Detailed impressions guide the lab that makes your crown. A temporary crown protects the tooth in the meantime.
Placement
At your second visit, we remove the temporary, check the fit of your new crown, adjust it and cement it firmly in place.
Caring for Your Crown
Treat it like a natural tooth: brush twice a day, floss and use a fluoride rinse to prevent decay. Regular checkups and cleanings keep it in good shape. Try not to clench your teeth or bite hard objects, which can damage crowns and natural teeth alike.
